Now Accepting Applications for 2011 ServeNext Organizers!

Posted by Jerry Duchene Saavedra on December 8, 2010

The application for the 2011 ServeNext Field Program is now online.  Our field program is designed to fit the schedules of working professionals and serves as a leadership development program for local leaders to become skilled grassroots advocates for national and community service.

With some members of Congress already putting national service programs like AmeriCorps on the budgetary chopping block, mobilizing at the grassroots level will be more important now than ever.  Our representatives need to understand that hard economic times is exactly when our communities need to utilize cost effective solutions like AmeriCorps to address the many different challenges we currently face.

Applications will be open from December 8th to January 14th. The 2011 Class starts March 11th, 2011 at our first retreat in Washington, D.C.  For more information about the ServeNext Field Program and how to apply go to www.servenext.org/field/2011.
