Timberland’s Serv-A-Palooza turns 10; Superheroes Reflect…

Posted by aaronjmarquez on September 20, 2007

It was a gorgeous day in NH to lace up your boots and make a difference…

More than just boots...

I spent my afternoon at the VA Hospital in Manchester volunteering with the mighty employees of The Timberland Company at their 10th annual Serv-A-Palooza.  Once again, I was totally and utterly inspired by the committment of a corporation to empower their entire global workforce in making the world a better place.  Since I’m tall, I painted the top of the hallway.  Later, my friend Jeb and I helped to wallpaper a kitchen.  (Jeb is tall, too.)   The Veteran’s were awesome – truly appreciative of everyone’s sweat and passion for all of the work completed today around the hospital.

Came across this great blog entry from Kat Howland, a student a Dover High School, who discovered her “superpowers” at a Palooza Party as a volunteer with City Year New Hampshire.  For all that The Timberland Company does to impact the lives of young leaders like Kat through its support of National & Community Service… THANK YOU.

And really – thanks to everyone involved for a great day… especially Tom and Team Timberland for continuing to inspire and the Weather Committee for making so many of today’s outdoor projects across New Hampshire possible!
