1. Charity Navigator announced that Melinda Gates was ranked second on the Fast Company magazine list of 100 Most Creative People in Business. Her ranking came from work she has done with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
2. Open Hands makes mention of an article written by Robert Egger entitled “A Starbucks Moment for Nonprofits?” This article compares the success of the “Starbucks model,” to what could be the future success of nonprofit organizations in such touch economic times.
3. Nonprofit Leadership 601 published a piece entitled “New to Nonprofit Technology.” This piece gives some good examples of great nonprofit technology, outlines ideas on how to select hardware for a nonprofit, and provides ideas on how to use technology to fundraise.
4. Social Earth recently announced the TOMS Shoe Drop Sweepstakes. This sweepstakes allows anyone the chance to travel to Argentina to give-away shoes to children in need.

5. The Fabulous Giver announced that Fashion Delivers will be hosting the second annual “Pay It Forward” event. This event awards five individuals in the fashion world that have used their influence to make a difference in their communities.

I enjoyed checking out the Wednesday Highlights . . . One suggestion — You might want to edit the Tom’s Shoe Drop Sweepstakes. The fine print on the rules Tom’s Shoe-Drop Sweepstakes shows that the entry date passed in early July.
